Stylish and elegant, Cape Diem Lodge is housed in a beautiful Victorian Villa dating back to 1888, and is set against a stunning backdrop of Signal Hill. In 2007 the house had first undergone extensive restoration, and during the year long renovation, every care was taken to honour this beautiful Victorian lady's rich history and original features, adjoining old and new.
On 11 January 2008, Huis Uitsig, as she was originally named, was reborn as Cape Diem Lodge, a 5-Star Boutique Hotel and we have been welcoming travellers from around the world ever since. We offer guests a refreshing alternative to ordinary, City Hotel accommodation and Cape Diem Lodge was designed to ensure your stay will be a unique and comfortable experience during your visit. We look forward to welcoming each guest and invite you to enjoy our beautiful city while experiencing true South-African hospitality.
Relax in stylish comfort as our dedicated staff attend to your every need - giving you the warm welcome, you deserve!

We had 2 amazing days in Cape Town and our stay at Cape Diem Lodge was beyond all our expectations. We were warmly welcomed and we got a lot of travel and hiking tips from the host. Breakfast was amazing. Calm and relaxing lodge and area of town. Still close enough for walks down to Waterfront or other parts of town.

Great spot, modern clean room with a lovely garden and views of the mountains. Fantastic breakfast and very friendly staff. Bianca was very helpful and made us feel at home. Location is perfect, quick walk to V&A waterfront and lots of restaurants within 2 minutes. Safe surroundings.

Friendly and welcoming staff! I had a lovely room with doors leading to the pool side. They did a great job with renovations and small details since I've been here couple years ago.
